Thanks Ranney.
This event was the last for the year and the win gave me the overall Porsche Club - Zone 8 Street Championship.
During the long drive home from AZ today I thought of the many things that I did this year to try and improve my scores. One was getting your MF towels...Thanks JB!
Nice Job JB! Impressive overall win I might add!
Wish MBCA was as active as Porsche Club is.

Thanks MBZ.
The Concours series this year has been extremely competitive. I did 8 events this year and my main rival did 7. During the year the lead changed 6 times!
For the overall championship they count your best 4 scores. Going into the last 2 events of the year (Santa Barbara and AZ) I was in 2nd place. At Santa Barbara I had to win and have a score of 239.7 at least (0.3 deductions) to improve my score. I won with a score of 239.8, but my rival scored 239.7 which meant we were tied for 1st place overall.
I went to Arizona again needing a score of 239.7 I took no chances and trailed my car to AZ (for out of state events you can trailer in Street Class) I was fortunate enough to score 239.9 and finish in first place overall.
My 4 best scores for the year were:
239.9 (0.1 deductions)
239.9 (0.1 deductions)
239.9 (0.1 deductions)
239.8 (0.2 deductions)
The scores needed to win this year have been very high. In the 2002 season the highest score all year was a 239.7
I`m just glad I am done for the year
JB...Thats awesome !!!! Congrats on the win...:xyxthumbs

What type of trailor did you end up using?
I just saw this trailor today and it reminded me of your question on how to protect the front of the car when trailoring. Thought you might be interested for the future.

Wow..I wish I would have gotten a front end deflector for my trailer when I originally purchased it. After pricing them out now they want about $500 for it installed. I only paid $2000 for my trailer new.
I did use some 2 inch blue painters tape when I trailered my car to the Nissan Z convention in NH. The trip was about 7 hours. I must say the tape worked great, cut down on bugs and chips, and left no residue. Thanks for the tip Brad B....:xyxthumbs

Here is the pic of the trailer I rented
...and what I had to do to load and unload a Porsche! (note the SUV on ramps to lower the load height)
Tried everything to rent an enclosed trailer, but no dice.
Not surprise that you win cause you deserved it
YEEEEEeeeeeHAW, JB! Proud of ya! That must have been an awesome effort, especially with the close competition.
Sweet! Congrats, JB!:xyxthumbs

Big Tex West in Anaheim! They weren`t very knowledgeable, but the trailer worked well.
