I do hope the stickers dont crumble away under the heat because they are very expensive for the pair

Got my digi cam loaded and ready to go so will be taking LOTs of pictures.

I`m also going to get the wheel wells `show-ready` and polish and seal the backs of the wheels. Plenty of before and after pics :xyxthumbs

I have some caliper instructions from a IS300 site. Here`s what they say about stickers.

"If you want to put on a caliper sticker, you have to wait until the paint completely dries before you put it on. Once you have the sticker on, I recommend a clear coat to spray over the caliper/sticker to seal it off and give it a glossy look (you can also get this at a local auto store)"

Cheers, yep I have some clear coat laquer but will it not be very temp resistant?

I`ll prob give it a go anyway.

i`m going to do 3 coats on each caliper with 30 mins inbetween each. How long shall I wait after all the coats?

I take it you will be painting on the car? If so the curing bit could be tricky - they say that the heat from braking will so it but Use caution not to create excessive brake dust while coating is still wet :LOLOL

I`ve always used Rust-Oleum with a foam disposable brush. Never had a problem, never flaked, always easy to clean, no worry about overspray or removing the calipers. And most importantly, if chipped, easy to touch up!

I had very good luck with the G2 two part epoxy product. I used red on my car and black on the wife`s. Both have held up very well. Mine probably has 45k miles over the last year and a half with no flaking or pealing. VERY easy to clean.

I tried the spray on stuff once and ended up with a red floor and EVERYTHING in site had red paint dust on it!:scared If you are going to spend the time to do it......................do it right!:xyxthumbs

I was all set to paint my calipers with the red VHT paint, but chickened out at the last minute and painted them black. The best suggestion I received before painting them was to use aluminum foil for masking everthing. It was great because it will hold itself and is rigid enough to be able to slide between the pads and the rotors. Anyway, I am satisfied with the black but still wondering if I should have gone red.
