I don`t know if this is the right forum or not...

My son wants to dress his car up as a show car. He`s already done interior neons, underhood strobes, etc. Now he wants to add mirrors to the recessed areas inside the hood and trunk lid. I`ve been searching for about an hour and can`t find what exactly is used and where to buy this stuff. :furious:

Can anyone point me in the right direction on where to find it? Or even where to search to try to find it?

    Thanks for any help!!!

I have them on my 300zx and use them exclusively for shows. I picked mine up at a local glass shop. I just made patterns out of poster board and they cut them to fit for me. I use velcro to attach to the underside of the hood and remove after the show.

I would reco acryllic or plexiglass instead of actual mirror. Look up a local plexi shop in your area or on the net. Sometime you are requires to by full sheets but you will find many uses for it. The plexi will be alot safer then actual mirror and it will be difficult to tell the difference.

Yes..that is what mine it is. Its called Plexi-mirror. Very light and easy to cut. Just be very careful with it. The material scratches very easy.

Contact Jamie (www.carztuff.com. He makes them -- not sure if he`s using mirrored stainless or plexi, but he does good work and will ship anywhere in Canada or US.

Here`s a photo he posted -- it sounds like what you`re looking for.
