    Who Remembers These?

Back in the early 2000`s they had a bunch of commercials about the Tornado fuel saver. I never really thought anybody bought them. Changed the filter on the Expedition today and saw this sticking in there. I know for a fact it don`t do a damn thing It might get 15mpg on a good day

Also found that the filter had not been changed in 8 years! Part of it was my fault, never made my grandparents get it checked and when I "inherited" it I`ve been doing routine maint. on it.

It definitely was a surprise. I guess I watched too much TV back then because I knew instantly what it was. Ah wasted youth...

I used to watch that, Motor Trend TV and Hot Rod TV (which later became Horsepower TV).

Funny! I found one in the intake tube of my 99z28. Couldn`t believe it. That went right in the trash!

I`m 33. I was obessesed with cars as a kid. I used to go into my high school library and read all of the old Road & Track and Motor Trends, as well as Hot Rod magazines.

    Re: Who Remembers These?

That was such a silly concept.

Routing your intake to the inside of the car mounted infront of an A/C vent was more effective!
