    first time vinyl

so ive been meaning to vinyl wrap some pieces of my vehicle that is badly etched.. finally dove in and decided to wrap my mirror cover first.

definitely a lot harder then the guys on youtube make it look. lots of small bubbles on the front.. and i did a horrible job on the inside corner. so embarrassing that i dont want to even post a picture of it.

overall im happy because it looks so much better and i will continue to practice on my driver mirror, then do my bumper last.

what should i put on the vinyl to protect it!?! sealant.. wax... ?!

Nice work! Definitely a huge improvement over what it looked like before.

I wouldn`t put a wax or sealant on it, as most contain petroleum distillates which can damage the vinyl (staining it brown)
I`d use 303 Aerospace Protectant to protect the vinyl on my vehicles and have been very happy with it so far

    Re: first time vinyl

I had my front bumper wrapped with SunTek and either use Plexus or BFCS as my protectant. Note that Meguiars has a plastic cleaner that I`ll use in addition to a light wipe down with nanoskin towel for monthly maintenance. Meguiars PlastX Clear Plastic Cleaner & Polish Keep all waxes & normal sealants away from the clear wrap material as Paul suggested. Haven`t used the 303 product he`s recommending but 303 is usually a solid choice-love their fabric cleaner & protecturant.
