I`m just not having the best of luck with some of my detailing products on my car lately. First the rotor hats and now my front bumper corner reflectors have a white stain . I might have to retire a few products from my Saleen.
Sorry to hear this, what happened to the reflectors?

Was using a bug/tar remover to help loosen up some bug guts and I must of left it on too long or something? The next thing I noticed was my reflector was stained white. The product label says not to let dry on plastics and I am about 95% positive I didn`t because I was making sure it all rinsed off before I washed the rest of the car. I`m thinking the stain might could sand and polish out. Do you think I will have any luck at least attempting to try Todd?

Re: Seeking help..... Anodized aluminum fading

    Maybe this will help
    -Raceglaze AluBright Deoxidiser
A powerful degreaser and restoration product ideal for cleaning and restoring metal parts on cars and motorbikes. A long favourite of Race Glaze customers as word has spread via users, forums and car club meetings.

AluBright dissolves corrosion and removes white oxidation from steel, alloy and most metals within minutes. It leaves a bright, as new finish on dull grey engine blocks which you can seal in with JetLaq. So if you`re rebuilding an engine or just taking one out it really lifts the finish.

Far more effective than most similar products, ideal for cleaning engine parts such as engine blocks, gearbox housings, turbochargers, pipework, cooling fins on motorcycle engines - anywhere you need to get back to the original finish.

Ideal for Concours preparation of engine bays where a quick spray and brush will remove white degradation easily.

To soak larger items you will need our larger 2.5 Litre size.

    Other uses:
    a) brightens yellowed exhausts - stainless or titanium (spray, agitate, wipe off) - proven and tested on various Ferraris for instance (348, 360) - a really quick fix - every specialist should have some, as saves so much time polishing
    b) removes limescale from bathrooms - taps, sinks, shower screens - paint or spray on, agitate for 1 min, rinse off - far more effective than Jif as it dissolves limescale rather than trying to polish it off. Quite a revelation !
    Finish it with :
-Raceglaze Jet Laq 1200 Non Paint Laquer
A modern alternative to engine laquer. Use to protect & enhance metal surfaces. Leaves a long lasting glossy Vaseline-like protective film. Withstands 200 degree heat. Reduces electrical problems caused by moisture.

Suitable for all alloys, iron, aluminium, nickel, steel, anodised surfaces and alloy wheels.

Simply spray onto polished surfaces such as radiator grilles on classics, exposed alloy parts such as on motorcycle engines and wheels and in car engine bays, on restored or refurbished castings like gearboxes, engine blocks and carbs etc. JetLaq will provide a flexible protective skin over the surface which will prevent oxidation and discolouration, and protect your metalwork.

Here`s what one delighted user told us:
In early October I purchased a few cleaning products from you. I brought these to clean my vintage Rolls Royce with. More specifically for cleaning the nickel radiator which has always been a problem to keep clean. I used the Alu tech metal polish which you had recommended and then applied a coat of Jet Laq - Non paint laquar.

I`m writing today to tell you how impressed I am with the results. I`m amazed with the Jet Laq. I cleaned the radiator shortly after purchasing the goods and now it still looks fantastic. I can dust the radiator and it still comes up to a wonderful shine. Normally I would have to have recleaned it by now.

I have not yet taken the car out in the rain but I`m sure that these products will protect far better in wet (indeed all) driving conditions. Thank you so much for your advise and supplying me with some great cleaning products.
