There is another place known for its twisties, up and down mountains. It is called tail of the dragon in Deals Gap, NC. Looks pretty amazing and an awesome ride.
Google Tail of the dragon and check it out.

My two favorite drives are...
Arizona route 89A between Flagstaff and Sedona. This road is in Oak Creek Canyon and has a lot of hairpin turns. :driving:
Route 1A between North Hampton, New Hampshire and Portsmouth. This road follows the New Hampshire seacoast. :driving:
+1 to DaGonz - that is a fun road to take, even on a bicycle (except at low tide during the summer, phewwww!)
Edit - there is a fun and roller coaster style road I took the kids on a few weeks ago around Lake Travis (north side) heading west to Marble Falls. Gotta watch out for big trucks as there is not much visibility with the trees and curves.
I suggest joining a local autocross group or better yet attend some trackdays (not racing) at your local roadcourse. It is much safer for you and everyone else.
