A good friend of mine just bought one. Mazda dealer in KC going out of business.

He said he got the best deal he ever got on any new car in his life.

    He absolutely loves the car.
"Best Bang-for-the-Buck of any performance car on the market!"
    4-cylinders and it SCREAMS!

    Enough said.

Great car. They are a ton of fun to drive. It`s a rocket. The only negatives I have heard are to stay away from the navigation system and it can be difficult to find second out of first. I did not find a issue with shifting in my test drives.
I`m going to get a 08 or 09. I`m not a big fan of the new body style and the dropped the old engine in the 2010. It seems like a waste to remake a car and use a old engine.
You should be able to get a good deal on a 09. I have seen the prices dropping like crazy. I drove about six waiting for the one I really want.
Of course the silver 08`s and metro grey 09`s are the hardest to find. I also had to wait for my wife to get a new job. She did and we will be able to take on a car payment now.
Good luck it`s a great car.

I had thought about one but for my money the Cobalt SS is a better looking, much better performing car for the same price. Obviously the looks are subjective but the performance is not.
