I started changing my own oil back in the 70`s and never thought it was a big deal. Later, I would just go to the local quickie oil change cause it was cheap and I was lazy. That changed when I paid over 50 bucks for an oil change on my 2001 Nissan Frontier. It only took 3.5 quarts! No, not fancy oil, just the cheap crap in the 55 gallon barrel. The said it costs more cause it was a 4X4 and they had to remove the skid plate (5-6 nuts) and I waited nearly 3 hours, for the 2 cars ahead of me. I had to go out and "help" the idiot twice. I went to WalMart, bought some ramps, oil drain container and have done my own ever since.
