Check out KW Coilovers. They allow you to adjust the hieght and the damper (ride quality). The system is superior and the ride is unreal.

    Re: Lowering my 540i BMW

    Hello Beemerboy

I`m not sure whether this will help, but anyways
My car (330i) has KW V2 coilovers.
Dampening set to full-stiff, and about 1-finger gap on all 4 wheels. Yes, the ride quality is a bit harsher than stock, but far less (I have swaybars also) body-roll, better overall handling.
I`m not sure what companies carry coilovers for 5-series (for 3-series, most people go with either Bilstein PSS9, KW V2 or Ground Control), but KW V2 has the lowest drop.
And I`ve read that when you change your suspension, upgrading RSM(rear shock mount) is recommended.

If you decide to go with coilovers, feel free to contact me. (I know some vendors in CA area who have awesome pricing)
    Hope this helps.

    Derek.
    Keep Detailing
