    Keep the interior warm?

I have 20% Llumar tint on my car. It`s guaranteed never to peel/fade/discolor, and if it does, I have a free replacement warranty. And this cost me $175.

I`d highly recommend Llumar tint...I`ve never had any problems with it on the Protege or my Maxima.

Please don`t do it yourself. More than likely, you`ll end up dissapointed at the results, and then you`ll have to pay to have it removed, and then pay the full price for installation anyway. It`s not a simple procedure to tint automotive windows.

    Ah...I see.

As I recall from the chat last night, you have a black car. So it`s going to be pretty toasty in there in the summer, but any tint should help to cool it down somewhat. Although if your windshield is facing the sun, all that UV radiation is coming in full force.

My warranty is nationwide, and it covers work done by any shop in the U.S.

So I don`t have to go back to the original place to have it redone. I have a warranty card with a toll-free # to call if I have any problems, and I can take it to the nearest installer to have the warranty work performed.

The manufacturer`s warranty could be just for the product itself. Workmanship is covered by the installer. I had the rear windows redone on the Maxima at my local installer free of charge because there were still some bubbles in the tint after several weeks. You`d have to ask the installer what kind of warranty they offer on their work.

Nice to hear that Llumar is good tint. I just went to a local audio/tint shop and they applied Llumar. I hadn`t done any research so I didn`t know if it was good or not. Mine only cost $119 in a small truck. Only two sides and one back window.

They told me not to use window cleaners on it, just dish detergent mixed with H20.

I clean mine with a simple damp MF applicator followed by a dry MF. Works great every time. No need for glass cleaners.

Although there are plenty of tint-safe glass cleaners out there.

In Atlanta, the best place to get tint work done is Solar Works. Joe or Keith will take care of you- tell them John with the black 545i referred you.
