window tinting the moonroof

I`m thinking of tinting my moonroof in my new honda element as the manufacturer`s shade screen apparently is flimsy. does anyone know of or have heard of tinting a moonroof affecting the seal?

mine has been tinted for the past 11 years without any issues. I can`t see how tint would affect the seal since it`s just a film being placed on top of the glass, they don`t cut the seal at all.
