A few weeks ago I got a great price on an extractor like the one pictured

The only downside was that it had no hand attachments and didnt have the plastic bubble cover.

So I thought about it and Made my own. I took a piece of 1/8" lexan. Added fittings from HD and glued them together. I sealed the ends with Foam tape.

Well after letting it dry i hooked it up.

Turned it on. Sounded good but the foam wasnt compressed. I then stuck my hand over the port and BANG!

Lexan shattered into lots of pieces

Back to the drawing board.. Going to try 1/2" this time

Just a wacky idea, since you got such a great price on the extractor, maybe you can buy a replacement "plastic bubble cover" from the mfr. of the machine?

    Thats not how I work..

The piece is $220 from the manufacturer. If I spend that I might as well just have bought a complete used one.

I plan to get a piece of thicker material. Solution is coming
