    I have a Beltronics Rx55, I used to use it all the time, I had all alerts go off supraticly but thats due to some airport equipment that xmits on the same Freq no big deal.



    So here is a head scratcher... Can anyone expain why my detector would go ape ship crasy, JUST LASER BAND! when I take my car to full trottle or almost full, I have a 03 mini cooper S if I recall right it did it with my 93 rx7 too.



    Operating Bands

    • X-band 10.525 GHz ± 25 MHz

    My Escort 8500 does the same thing - I`ve been told that it has something to do with the voltage supplied to the unit. Apparently putting a line filter on the 12v in will fix it.

    Mr. Devil, how old is the unit? It`s likely the "choke" has failed.

    I had alternator problems once that would cause laser to go off. Apparently, they`re really sensitive to power supply fluctuations.

    Laser ALWAYS goes off with my Valentine 1 due to late model Infiniti FX, QX, and M cars and their laser-guided cruise control/lane departure warning. It is quite annoying.



    Other than that, no false signals.
