I got my car back from the service station and they did not put the dash on correctly. There is a piece of plastic that is sticking out through the air vent (causing the top to be unleveled) and it should be tucked under. I have a 2007 VW jetta and I would like to just take the top dash layer off and stick this plastic back under and close it up again, but I can`t for the life of me figure out how to do it. Any suggestions-please.

Take it back to the shop and have them do it properly.

Otherwise, I`d suggest buying a Bentley manual for the MkV. ECS Tuning among others carries them. It could be in the vortex DIY/FAQ in their MkV section too.

they usually unbolt from the bottom...might have to take the radio and some vents out to find all the mounts. Not sure about a mkv jetta, but a new f150 is about a 15 minute job to pop the entire dash out.
