    Hey guys,

    Well I am in the process of building my first entry level system. I don`t need anything that is going to win a competition or anything, just looking for something to suit my needs. I ended up purchasing this sub enclosure http://www.cardomain.com/item/ABNABP10T and now I am in need of an Amp but I have no idea what I need to be looking for. I know it has to do with RMS and what not but I can`t figure all that out. I was wondering if someone could recommend an amp to run these subs?

    Here are the specs:

    * Dual 10" Molded, Textured Injection Poly Cone

    * 50 oz Strontium Magnets

    * 2" 4-Layer ASV Voice Coil

    * Power Handling: 600W RMS

    * Sensitivity: 101 dB

    * Frequency Response: 30-150 Hz

    * Impedance: Dual 4-Ohm (two 4-ohm terminals can be wired together for a single 2-ohm load)

    I`d like to keep the cost of the amp under $200 if possible, but if I need to spend more then just let me know!

    Thanks for the help

    Look at woofersetc.com for hi-phonics or pheonix gold amps. you will need something that is stable at 2-ohms so the amp wont overheat. I can pick you out a specific amp that will work for under $200 tomorrow. The model # may be R8:0.1 Honestly, if you are thinking about any Sound Quality, Audiobahn should be out of your list. They are mostly for getting silly loud off a small amount of power, but they arent SQ queens. I recommend Elemental Designs 13kv.2 in a ported enclosure tuned to 32hz or TC-sounds TC-1000 ported to 35hz. They would both blow the a-bahns out of the water in terms of SQ and SPL.

    Just a suggestion Josh, not tryin to rag on your stuff. I just know that Audiobahn isnt really respected in car audio. You can get more for less money with other brands.

    Whatever you do, post some pics and let us know how it goes.

    eD makes very nice products, but I would rather go ID if I was going after a nice SQ sub.

    Stay away from Dual crap. Elemental Designs is a good bang for the buck. They also have good forum discounts. Join their forum. Elemental Designs

    I went with a 12" 13kv.2

    As a swap for a detail I also have a pair of 12" Memphis subs sitting here. Will be installing the ED this week

    Good sub choice. Sounds like you`re getting good advice from the folks here as well. What are you doing for an amp? The advice on the JL Audio slash series is nice, but pretty pricey considering you wanted to stay around $200.

    You should be able to pic up a decent Hifonics or similar amp for not much more than that. Won`t win you any contests, but should sound pretty nice. You didn`t mention what head unit you have, or what the other speakers you have are.

    A "system" is a collection of parts, not just the sub! And of course saying that, I`ve got an Adire Brahma 12 sitting in the closet I bought 3 years ago and still haven`t installed.

    Ya put up the wrong link for the front stage amp. You put up a mono amp, but you supposedly bought a 2ch 400w PG amp.

    Ha ha.
