The F12 Berlinetta is a car that rightly enters the history of the great front-engine V12s and that represents a clear brake in Ferrari styling choices while taking to the limit the collaboration between Ferrari design, Pininfarina and aerodynamics specialists. It has been a healthy, constructive way of working that strengthened the historic collaboration with Pininfarina and led to excellent results. And the outcome is a balance between rules that derive from the finest tradition of the Ferrari V12 married to those of contemporary aesthetics.





Work on the interiors has been performed entirely by Ferrari Design at Maranello. In line with the briefing given to this project, the aim was to obtain lightness and functionality, supplying the maximum usable space in the cockpit both for people and for luggage. With the hatch and flexibility of the interior space, you can even load two golf bags. The cockpit is spacious and comfortable, while notably sporty. Huge efforts were putted to reduce mass with the creation of a slim, streamlined dashboard: the central bridge is also sleek and slender and contains the `Launch", "Reverse" and `Automatic" commands. Beneath the bridge is a rich functionality, for telephone, navigation, data for passenger and so on.No space was wasted in pursuit of making the car more compact and the best possible use made of hollow space through honeycomb techniques to create innovative and highly efficient aerodynamic solutions. The design of the rear has been developed around a "T" theme, which low down creates two keels that become an integral part of the exhaust. In the center, the rear fog light is inspired by F1 in size and shape. The front of the car is no less interesting with its catamaran shape and its `mouth furniture`, as well as its aerodynamic fittings connected to generously proportioned LED lights.





The F12 Berlinetta performances have been obtained by working on everything that uses air: external aerodynamics and all the cooling systems, such as radiators, heat exchangers and brake cooling. This work, in addition to the efficiency of the fluid dynamics, is based on research into the reduction of the volume and weight of the parts. As well as rear air intakes and lack of a large spoiler, what is most striking when you look at the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta are the air passengers on the bonnet and sides.





The new Ferrari F12 Berlinetta has an ideal weight distribution (54% over the rear axle) and it is lower, shorter and narrower than the previous Prancing Horse V12 coupe.
