okay, poished the car today......everything looks amazing. all was applied using PC. polish of choice is Optimum polish. have light to medium swirl marks and on the painted surfaces id say 95% of the swirling is gone!!! but i have a problem, my hood is carbon fiber and doesnt really have a clear coat it is just a resin base like all carbon fiber hoods. The problem i have is i still have most of the swirls left on the hood i might have removed 10% of them with the pc and a LC yellow cutting pad.

Anyone else out there have experince with this type of hood?? do i need to get more aggressive with the polishing? i do have optimum compound but didnt break it out yet.

    any suggestions are greatly appreciated!!

thanks guys, and sorry dont have pics my camera is crap

also sounds like someone has used a wool pad on it (?possibly manufacter?) before leading to you now having to correct that using the foam >>>slow and even<<<
