Gotta be careful with stuff like this or you`ll instill marring that the PC won`t be able to remove. Something like Hi-Temp Medium Cut or 1Z Ultra/Extra with a wool pad would be as aggressive as I`d go.

But honestly, I`d rather use a rotary with mild stuff than a PC with aggressive stuff. If I didn`t have the rotary I`d just live with the imperfections the PC won`t get out. Even *with* the rotary it pays to consider living with deeper defects

I used SSR3 with a cutting pad on my PC to remove some really bad oxidation on an old Honda. The owner wasn`t really concerned with micromarring as much as he was concerned about the paint being glossy again. That`s one of only two times that I`ve ever used SSR3 via PC. It`s some gritty sh**!

    How did it turn out?

The right side was polished with SSR3, 2.5, clay, AIO, then UPP.

    from this thread http://autopia.org/forum/showthread....ghlight=accord

The other time I used SSR3 was on my dad`s van, to remove these bad boys...

You can see both of the vehicles in the Extreme Detail forum. The van was for June, and I think the Accord was in April.

I`ve used a Hi-Temp Heavy Cut leveler on an orange propel pad and it went fine, actually left a finish ready for LSP.

I`ve used SSR3 once by PC with a Meg`s cutting pad and found you have to work it a real long time (much much more than 2.5) to get it to break down. It also left some hazing that I had to take out with 2.5. In comparison, I got the same results with DACP and a Meg`s cutting pad on my rotary at 1800rpm.

Yeah, I saw that on your other thread. That Hi-Temp stuff might be just the ticket for people doing "rotary work with a PC" :xyxthumbs
