    Hi all,

    Long time lurker/First time poster.

I`ve got an `05 LGT that`s looking pretty good with a few coats of NXT, but now I want to strip that off and start over with something else. What`s the best way to remove the current layers of protectant? AIO? Dish soap? For whatever it`s worth, I`ll be doing this all by hand.

Dish soap didn`t remove NXT in my experience. Any cleaner or polish will remove whatever you have on there. I always do a paint cleaner before starting over anyway, so I know I`m starting clean.

Excellent, thanks for the replies. Cleaning the paint was part of the plan before starting over, but I always thought that a paint cleaner was for use after the protectant had been stripped away. I`ll chalk this up as something new.

The paint cleaner is applied before applying any waxes or sealants, yes. But the cleaner will also clean off any prior wax or sealants on the paint. So you`re doing your LSP removal and paint cleaning in one step.

YUP! Try,AIO, any paint cleanser, or,even SSR1 or similar product. Or try the new Zaino CP Fusion.
