I`m wondering if anyone has a good way of cleaning some of the tighter exterior spots. The one`s that particularly get to me on my `98 VW GTI are the grooves around the rear windows and rear hatch glass. I don`t really want to jet water in there, but just going over it with the wash mitt doesn`t get the job done and if I accidentally go over it with the buffer when polishing/waxing, it smears the grime from in there around. Is there maybe some product that I can spray in there and then rinse out? It`d have to be safe on the paint, glass, and rubber. Or any other tricks?

Hopefully this info isn`t out there already. If it is, I must have been using the wrong keywords.

    Thanks!

    matt.

Poorboy`s Spray + Wipe and a S100 detailing swab do it for me. If its tighter than that, a MF wrapped around a toothpick is good too.

Swabs, smaller BHBs (Griot`s pn 15520, I consider these indispensable!), the knap from mitts. LOTS of high-lubricity soap, and *I* wouldn`t hesitate to use plenty of water.
