I cleaned my engine bay recently but I didn`t want to spray my alternator? What should I do for this. I know CRC makes an electric parts cleaner, has anyone tried this? BTW this is on a 97 M3.

Wipe down the exterior with a cloth and some solvent, such as kerosene or brake cleaner. Don`t spray anything inside it.
