    There is a spot on the front fender of my truck that looks as if it could be suffering from the beginnings of clear coat failure.... In fact i am fairly certain that is what it is... Its not horrible noticable now but it can be seen... My question is how can i restore and protect this spot and make it less obvious without going completely through what clear i have left... I am trying to put off repainting as long as possible... As it is just one spot about six inches long that looks like this........

    I cannot see any pics but if it is a clear coat failure there is very little you can do apart from repaint
