I didn`t know there was a detailing site like this. When I was growing up my dad owned a car lot and I was the lot boy. Learned everything I know working there. Anyways this is my first post and wanted to share some pic`s of my last detail on my ride. Check it out.

Wow! You certainly have one beautiful FX45. Love the paint color and detail you did on it. I can see how you put 9 hours into it overall. Welcome to the group and have fun reading and participating. You`ll learn a lot here and hopefully have fun too.

Judge, if I read you correctly, you just used 303 on the dash? Was there anything else you used on the dash and console?

Can you tell me the tools that you also used, such as around radio knobs and switches, and on the instrument panel?

Thanks again on the compliment. The only dressing I use inside or out is Wizzards Vinyl Shine. It dries once applied. The application technique is a little tricky because of it though. Two or three coats = shiny. One coat = satin. You get the idea. On the dash I put one coat on then after it dried I went behind it with a little more than damp cotton rag and basically tried to remove the product. I didn`t flip the rag, just went over it until the rag was just damp so there was no noticeable moisture trail. That left behind a nice natural, not-too-shiny finish that you see in the pictures.

For the leather I used the Wizzards leather conditioner but thats because it`s what I had on the shelf. I use about any leather product other than Lexol.

For tools, I stole one of my wifes makeup applicators a while back. Big fluffy thing on the end of a wand. This may sound a little extreme but I put trim dressing on a sponge then rub the fluffy thing on the sponge to get just a little transfered over. Then go to town on things like vents and knobs so as to get the dust out. Then Plexus on the acrylic panel in front of the gauges and nav screen.
