Ok just went to wally world today to get a new hose. I got the Apex commercial hose (green with tan stripes). Anyway went about my usual washing as normal but noticed the water smelled a like the hose. I`m assuming this is normal but will that rubbery water hurt my paint? Jus curious and maybe a little paranoid, but then again i guess thats what this website is all about...

Don`t worry about it, it`s normal. The little bit of solids that impart the smell won`t leave a residue on the car or anything. What you might do is run the water a bit at the start of each wash so only "fresh" water actually gets used for your detailing.
