The wife`s car is turning 3 and needs cleaning. I`ve washed and waxed but it is time to put the things I am learning on Auotpia to good use.

Reading the reviews and checking on availability in my neck of the woods, I have come up with the following for the exterior of my wife`s 2002 Black Hyundai.

    1. Meg`s Shampoo Gold

    2. Meg`s Medallion Cleaner

    3. Klasse AIO

    4. Meg`s #16

I have substitutes in case the stores sell out or something like that, but what you do you all think? Have I left out a step or two?

The car has some swirls and scratches (level 1 only) and its share of 3 years worth of the Florida Sun.

Thank you for your feedback and everyone have a great day!

I would clay the car before the cleaner. There is a good article on the claying process in the "learn" section if you are not familiar with it.

other than that, it sounds like a plan!:xyxthumbs

Definitely agree with jakes29 on squeezing in the clay step. If you haven`t tried clay before you`ll be amazed at the results.

I would also recommend having some ScratchX handy. Most cars will have some isolated scratches, scuffs and defects that are worse than the rest of the finish. ScratchX is more aggressive than the MPPC (Medallion Premium Paint Cleaner) and lets you attack those spots more efficiently. Once they`re fixed you can continue to do the whole car with the MPPC.

    PC.

Just confirming that clay is important. If you`ve never clayed the car before, then it`s even more vital that you do.

Also I would subsitute Medallion Paint Cleaner with #80 or even SSR1 for the swirls.
