Here is a tough one for you experts Weird Leather Stain

Ink Stained Leather Seat:



First of all the seats are perforated leather. The cap came off a gel ink rolling ball pen and the pen rolled toward the back of the seat. I assume the tip came to rest right on one of the perforations and began bleeding into the seat because the seat is now stained from the foam side of the leather (not the seating side) which leaves a dark spot.



How would you suggest attacking this one? I am open for suggestions but I am afraid I`ll have to remove the seat cover to tackle this beast.

I would take it to a trim shop and let them look at it and give you suggestions.

Ink stains

Some ballpoint ink stains can be sponged clean using 303TM Cleaner & Spot Remover. If this doesn`t completely remove the stain, the other alternative is to use Isopropyl alcohol (or a hairspray in an emergency) Townsend Leatherâ„¢ Ink & Stain Remover will removes ink, lipstick, heel scuffs and other difficult stains from finished leather.

Leathermaster has a ink stain remover that works BUT I must note that it is powerful. It must be used with great care and caution.



I have not tried it yet on clear coated leather.

When I reviewed the Sonus leather cleaner that David sent for free, I noted that it got rid of some ink stains that other cleaners did not touch. However, yours seems to be a special case with the ink having stained the foam underneath the seat.



That may be too serious for any stain remover, but it`s worth a try. Otherwise sounds like a job for a pro.
