Am reading correctly that people use AIO on their rims? how does it help?? I have an `02 lexus and I went to re-examine my wheels. they seem to be painted a silver color with some type of clear coat over it.

Typically when I wash my car i just give the rims a blast or two of QD or windex and wipe them down.

Klasse AIO does two things for rims: 1) cleans the surface and 2) protects. Having SOMETHING on the paint (your wheels are just like your paint) makes it easier to remove brake dust and road grime.

And for the sake of your wheels, stop using Windex on them.

AIO will clean the clearcoat on the wheels just like it does on the paint of the car.

Most alloys are actually painted silver and then covered with a clearcoat. You can use any polish for your car`s paint on your wheels as well.

I highly recommend this practice. Keeps the wheels cleaner and protects them.

Go to corvetteforums.com and check out their detailing section. Windex is the wheel cleaner of choice.....

I stopped going after a month or two because I could not take it any longer. :grrr

AIO on wheels x 1 or 2 and then SG on the same wheels x 3 or more = Very shiney and easy to clean wheels!

Do AIO once then SG twice, but leave SG on for a day then buff off. Then next day wipe them off with a towel then apply another coat of SG, then buff off the next day. Now all you have to do is use soap and water or just a towel to clean. Plus they shine like new!!

AIO + UPP is also a good combo for wheels.

You will definitely notice a difference after you AIO the wheels. This reminds me that I need to AIO and SG after claying my own vhehicles wheels soon.

I really like AIO+EX-P, or NXT, or UPP on wheels. Each topper works great

Yeah, with clearcoated wheels (and most are these days) just treat them like the paint on the rest of the car- AIO, topped or not, is great for this. If you`re gonna use wheel cleaner you might rethink topping it, since the wheel cleaner will take off most products anyhow. But if you do top it, you can usually just clean them with regular car wash shampoo.

Thanks for the info. I AIO my wheels today and they do feel smooth. let`s see how easy the dirt comes off now. I usually wipe them down every 4 days or so with a QD dampened towel.
