Wheel cleaning

Hey guys i have giovanna genoas and as you can tell in this picture they are cleaned and dressed an look good. Problem is keeping them clean. In between the "mok" three piece nuts a lot of grim has built up and i need suggestions on cleaning, or polishing, or waxing, etc. so let me know!

Cleaning is the easiest question, same answer for the last twenty years, mothers mag polish. Protection, what`s your sealant on paint? Klasse or Zaino works great on protecting your mags. Then you don`t have to buy anything, just use the dampened applicator after you have done your paint. When I`m done sealing my paint I look all over the house for something to polish so I don`t waste whats on my applicator, lol.

I just got a visual in my head of a guy runnin around the house saying "Gimmie something to wax right now!!!" haha Best way to keep wheels clean is too clean them often. THat way the dirt doesnt build up and isnt harder to remove later. A good sealant will work to help prevent dirt and dust from "cementing" itself to the wheels. As mentioned above, Klasse and Zaino are two good sealants for that. Heck, even using NXT wax will good, or any wax pretty much for that matter. The wax wont last as long as the sealants but some protection is better than none.

yea i clean my car and rims at least once a week but the disc brakes kill me then just unload brake dust! as far as nxt just used it and it worked good i guess i just have to keep working it in to get out all the sh**. Thanx for the suggestions

Klasse AIO + SG is the way to go on this one.

Here`s a pic of my six month old wheels after being cleaned and dried:

Now here`s a pic of the same wheel an hour later after being polished with just AIO: (notice the camera auto adjusting for the brighter reflection of sunlight)

I didn`t even seal mine with SG like I should have and that shine has lasted a little over three months now, washing only with 1Z Perls like the rest of my vehicle.

I find the best way to apply it is to use a terry or mf applicator pad and remove with a ww mf towel or soft terry, just don`t use too much pressure if using the terry. If you can, put a few layers of SG and it will help them look good that much longer.

I did it by hand with one of those round terry applicator pads, and then removed it with a ww towel. It took me about 15 minutes per wheel.

hftw Audi 6- Once you et them all cleaned up and sealed (seal them and you can just wash with regular car shampoo and you won`t have to really scrub `em for a very long time), I`d use a small boar`s hair brush (BH

to clean the tight spots on those wheels. The bristles will get in there where stuff builds up. Worked great on the similar areas I had on a set of HREs.
