Dealer removed some pin stripes that was on the car. Today I noticed some residual glue left over. What would be best to remove the glue?

Try the 3M Adhesive Remover, or maybe Goo-Gone. If that doesn`t work polish might be necessary.

Try Isopropyl Alcohol (Rubbing Alcohol), then polish the spot with an abbrasive polish. (Meguiars #80, #9, #83, Vanilla Moose, Poorboys, etc.)
I removed all the dealer stickers this way from my truck, and there is no sign that they were ever there.

Goo-Gone safe to use on car paint? I do have some of that.
Yeah goo gone is fine, I used it to remove the trim adhesive on my sonoma atleast 18 months ago with no problems.
3M adhesive remover is probably the best and safest thing. If this doesn`t work, one thing that will work for sure is Silicone Spray. It`s a little bit more aggressive, so make sure you wash the surface thoroughly after using it.
