Where is the best place to purchase pads for the PC 7424 and what type would you recommend for using Menzerna Twins on a Black Ram QC that has some spiderweb swirls.

There are any number of pads for the PC that will give you good results: Megs, LC, and Sonus just to name a few.

For using the Menzerna Twins you may want to start with a polishing pad before you step up to a light cutting/polishing (orange) pad or a cutting pad.

Excel Detail has a very good price on polishing and finishing pads (and will soon carry cutting pads). You can also purchase a backing plate from them:

Autopia has a nice kit of Sonus pads that are very high quality:

They also have a kit of the LC pads:

Here is link to some new LC pads:

I`ve also had good luck with the Meg`s pads (polishing: W8006, finishing: W9006), which might be available locally.

As you can see there is a lot to choose from, but if I had to recommend only one set of pads it would be the Sonus. From there you can order some other pads to try if you want, but the Sonus kit gives you a good basic set of pads to start out with. With whatever pad/kit you choose, I`d suggest getting an extra polishing pad or two.

I think John has it covered. My personal favorites are the Excel and Meguiars pads.

Should I purchase the Orange Sonus pad or am I good with the Blue & Green Sonus pads. I already have an Orange & White pad from properautocare, should I just ditch these?

I`d say the pads you have from CMA are LC pads. The orange is a light cutting/polish pad and the white is a polish pad. Both are good pads if they are what I`m thinking of, so there is no need to ditch them.

Sonus has two grades of polish pads (green and blue). Green is a more convential polish pad while the blue has less cut (good for paint cleaning with AIO, etc.)

You could also order the orange Sonus pad, or just use the orange pad you have if you need to step up to a more agressive pad than the green Sonus or white LC.
