Check out the new HoseCoil Suds Blaster!! This thing looks great! I know that there has been some discussion on autopia and Detail City about a foam sprayer/sudser, and that AutoMagic sold them for more than $70, but here is what looks to be a quality Foamer, similar in design, made by HoseCoil. It`s specfically made for washing and car/marine soaps.

Only $20!! The HoseCoil Suds Blaster

My auction ends in about 10 minutes, if I get outbid again I`ll let the other guy have the foam gun I`m looking at and get that Hosecoil one. Kinda wish I saw that Hosecoil one before I outbid this guy =( It`s at $30ish right now

I`m sure there must be some difference between them, material and construction wise. 20 bucks does not seem bad, any pics of some one using one of these? are they like the jets at a car wash? but less powerful?

Has anyone tried those lawn and insect sprayers at home depot? they range from 10-30 bucks. they also come in different size containers. Just a thought would this work with soap and water in the jug?

Those things don`t make foam, might be alright for a cleaner though

How do you wash with the foam gun? Do you spray the car and still use a bucket, or cover the car with foam and spray the sponge to keep it wet?

This seems like it would work! Anyone? You could even adjust the amount of soap per gallon, or turn off and just use water. probably not as comfy as the others but a cheap alternative for some one at home looking to have a little fun.

The easiest way to apply concentrates. Just pour, set dial and spray. When finished, simply pour unused concentrate back into bottle.

    Benifits:

-Dilutes and sprays liquid weed killers, insecticides and fungicides

-No mixing, no measuring, no mess

-Remove nozzle tip for jet sprayâ€â€shoots up to 25 ft

-Select from 14 settings from 1 tsp. to 8 fl. oz. per gallon of spray

-Unused product can be returned to original container

    -Instant "on-off" trigger action

-Simply add product, set dial to the rate per gallon listed on the product label and spray

-Delivers spray pattern suitable for application on shrubs, vegetables, soil, and lawn

    How to Use:

-Add concentrate as directed by product label. Seal the sprayer

-Set dial based on the amount of product to be delivered per gallon of spray as directed by the product label (14 settings)

-Attach the garden hose; pull trigger to spray

-Pour unused product back into original container

I don`t know if it would work because I never tried it, But home depot and loew`s should have them for around $10.

HoseCoil Suds Blaster looks like a good deal, they seem to make quality stuff, I might pick one up.

The Post Above was just a thought because I used one before with some weed killer. .

In my experience, the lawn sprayers don`t aerate the spray enough to make any real foamy suds. Probably better than nothing, but I tried it a few times and gave up, while I was instantly hooked on the foam gun.

Somebody get the HoseCoil thing and report on it. I suspect that *it* won`t make sudsy-enough foam either but I hate to sound all pessimistic.

I believe the whole "makes foam" aspect makes the foam gun unique.

L33- Sorry, but I`m gonna give you a "go search" response on how to work the thing...or we can PM about it when I have more time or Bill D might fill you in. Generally, you use it to keep foamy soap running over the panel while you wash it, providing lots of lubrication and carrying away the dirt so it doesn`t get rubbed in.

You`re absolutely right. I`ve been following foam gun threads trying to find a good one myself, and decided to try one of Gilmore`s lawn sprayers. They were mentioned in a few threads, available locally, and cheap.

The also don`t work. If you get the high-end adjustable you can lean out the mix to compensate, but bottom line is that all you`ll get is soapy water. It is better then nothing, but its not what I`m looking for.

I`ve seen links to the Butcher`s foam gun, but can`t find anyway to order the thing... does anyone have a link where the gun can actually be ordered?
