I want to put Klasse SG over my two coats of UPP. How would I be able to tell if it did not bond to it? I want to experiment but I do not know how I would be able to tell if a product didnt bond to another.
Thanks!

When I first detailed my car, I put the products on in the wrong order...I used EX-P on top of Paste Glaz. You could tell it didn`t bond right, cuz the paint was a bit hazy, not smooth at all, and didn`t even bead well.
It was obvious that something was wrong and then I realized that the carnauba is supposed to go on top of the sealant! So the next day I redid everything.

Probably won`t be very durable. dunno
Hard to say since UPP has been reasonably durable for me, so even if SG didn`t bond, I`m not sure if that would horribly affect durability.
I would think that since UPP is somewhat oily, that it would work better over SG than under it.

EX-P doesn`t bead, it sheets.
I agree with Scott and Corey on both points. I always start with the oil-free product (Zaino and Klasse) as the base.
But I was told that you can go in between with SG and UPP as you want.Originally posted by blkZ28Conv

Maybe some from for 4 Star/Premium Auto Care can say for sure
Treat it like it`s the only one in the world.

These are the two things I know will affect the bonding of a polymer
The presence of oil may inhibit the cross-linking process of a polymer or linking together of the chains (monomers or building blocks) to form a Ãâ‚ËœstructureÃâ‚â„ by acting as a barrier and will compromise its strength, durability, drying time, and bonding.
Be sure that the surface of the vehicle can be left undisturbed from rain and water) until the polymer has cross-linked or the surface protection may be compromised.
~Hope this helps~

What gets overlooked too often is that one must be a student before becoming a teacher.
What are you looking to get out of SG over UPP? A different look? A different surface characteristic? More durability?
Why not just do it and see what happens? Does the different look last? Does the surface characteristic of SG remain? Does the whole combo protect your paint for a while?
