I finally got a cig ash burn on my 3 month old car, its not burned through just the material is melted abit. Any techniques on how to make it less noticable ? I going to have to use a smoking bib on my seats when I smoke and drive. The old velour material resisted cig burns better, the newer sport seat weave material are easily melted.

I know a dealer friend locally that uses a guy who repairs burns in car seats/carpets/mats, and he says the results are very good.

You may want to call around to some used car dealers and see who they use.

Not sure if this is worth looking into or not, but here`s a link for a repair kit:

It may be cheaper to let a pro repair all your burns at once than to buy a kit and then have to practice before you can get it right.

Don`t waste your time or money as that stuff WILL NOT work. Depending on whether your car is American or import and how new it is it might be very easy (American - 1 year old or more) to get exact replacement material. Typical charge for a panel replacement is $100-150.
