    Hello...

I have an MKIV Golf and my from headlights are foggy. I tried many ways of cleaning them but because the front plastic cover cannot be separated from the housing i cannot do much.

Is there any way i can get rid of this using any kind of polish or any other method.

    Thank you.

The fog or condensation might be inside the headlight. If thats the case, you gotta take it off and dry it with a blowdryer. Put the headlight back on and make sure to seal all the seams with a silicone.

yes the consendation is from the inside of the headlight lense...and it cannot be taken apart. I must heat it up in some way to do so.

Is there by applying a plastic polish using a machine polisher to penetrate the plastic and clean it?

    Nope.

You have to heat up and separate. For the record, it is very easy.

I did it with my Integra headlights to spray spaint the chrome rings black. I believe the VW/Audi crowd refers to that as the "Joey Mod".

Just wrap the headlights in tin foil exposing the seam which separates the lense from the backing, and throw em in the oven (250*) for about 10 mins, they should come right apart and you are in business. Just heat em up again and put back together.

    Good Luck.
