Made three passes with the PC, orange power pad, Menzerna IP. PC set to speed 4 then 4.5 then 5.

Swirls less noticeable but still there after wiping off IP with 50/50 water/alcohol and MF.

Normally I`d be happy but a Z2 test brings out the swirls.

I`m working on a 2003 BMW M3 Silver with only 6000 miles. Swirls were very light to start.

Any suggestions on what else to try ?

I was thinking of the yellow pad. Not sure if I need Meguiars DACP.

Bought the PC from properautocare and they said I need to use a rotary, at the limits of a DA polisher!

    Thanks

Before you try the rotary i would definitly crank up the PC to 6 with IP. If that doesn`t do it then try some DACP, it should work better with the PC than IP. You can get good results with Menzerna and the PC, but they work best with the rotary.

Another product line you may want to try is 3M. Try the 3M PI III RC (rubbing compound) followed by 3M PI III MG (machine glaze).

I`ve have both the 3M (RC & MG) and Megs (DACP & #80) and like them both. Although I haven`t done a side-by-side comparison of them (yet), someone else has posted that the 3M worked where DACP failed.

Here the link to the discussion where 3M came up as more effective than DACP: Link to thread.
