Blue nitrile glove when polishing

So what is it about a Blue Nitrile glove that makes it work when polishing chrome? I have seen a few people mention to use it, but no answer as to WHY to use it. If someone could enlighten me I would appreciate it.

Here is an excerpt of mine from another thread:

"It has got to be one of the best tricks I`ve learned here at Autopia... a representative from Mothers, I don`t recall his name, posted the suggestion here in the forums. Apply the Billet polish directly using the golves, no cloth or pad of any sort. The gloves do not absorb any product so waste is eliminated. They also save polishing clothes from getting ruined by tarnish, just discard the gloves after each use. Also, the texture of the gloves seems to really help polish while not scratching my alminum wheels... and of course, no tarnish on your hands. I also find it much easier to get in the nooks and crevices with my gloved hand vs. a polishing cloth or pad - very helpful with wheels that are intricately shaped."

It`s not for chrome, it for polishing aluminum, or more specifically, billet aluminum.

There`s no marring, and and it keeps your hands clean.

The hard part is finding them for a decient price. Rite-aid sells them in `universal` size, which is quite a bit too small for myself. Luckily, my neighbor works for a hospital

Be sure they say `nitrile` on the box. They`re starting to make latex gloves purple now, and wheel polish eats through latex within minutes.

A good ,usually smaller, car parts store sells them by the box but in a pinch, you can buy a pair in Home Depot.

I found a small pack of 10 Nitrile Gloves at Home Depot for $1.97. I did try the Mothers Billet with the gloves and it does save on ur hands and polishing towels. It definitely makes it easier to get into the hard to reach areas.
