Thread: Bird Poop

    I couldn`t clean bird poop off my black paint quick enough and now there are sevearl areas that are etched.



    What can I do w/out the use of a power buffer to get rid of the etch.

    Highly recommend Meg`s Scratch X. Use a small amount on a foam applicator pad and hand rub it in several directions. It takes a while if the poop is etched in the clear coat. I had a Suzuki (metallic black) that was really bad on the hood. I spent at least 5-6 minutes working Scratch X and it removed the offending stain.

    Do they sell ScratchX at Target?

    i dont know if they sell scratchx @ target, but probably... i have seen it at walmart tho.

    i`ve had good luck with sonus paintwork cleanser, and klasse aio... i know they are gentle but it worked for me

    If the etching comes back, you`ll need to neutralize the paint
