ALWAYS use only 100% Cotton towels. They must be Made in USA. Brand name (Cannon or Fieldcrest) large white bath size towels.

What happens if you use microfiber? I just want to know the reason behind this. Maybe I should call him.

And if they`re not made in the USA does the sealant and Car know? Is it ok to use Zaino on my Japanese car? Is it ok to use Pakshak towels on it because those aren`t made in Japan as to the best of my knowledge? When using Klasse should I special order towels from Germany? Inquiring minds want to know.

I`m not bashing Zaino--I`m bashing the site! I think it`s in need of an update.

I too fell for this. I called Sal and stated that if it is not a quality USA towel that there is the potential for scratching when you buf out. In all honesty I have tried almost everything and the best towels that I have used for buffing out Zaino are the gray ones that DavidB sells on the Autopia store that are being discontinued. They grab the residue perfect and you do not have to go back again to pick up the leftovers.

I`ve used pakshaks without any other problems with other products.

    And Viper towels.

And even walmart bargain MF towels that didn`t scratch. :nixweiss

We all have opinions, that happens to be his.

QC of MF`s has improved vastly in the last year or so, maybe he will change his statement someday. Who knows? But there are plenty of people around here that use MF`s exclusively with their zaino, including me.

We cant read so much into everything that everyone suggests. We have to at some point, just use our own judgement. There are still detailing stores and sites that say clay is horrible and that it should never be used. I know better, and I think most around here do too.

Yeah tell me about it! I missed out on the wonders of clay for a long time by taking that misinformation as gospel :sosad

Which leads me to believe that Sal`s site could use a little updating.

I guess I`m in the minority...but I still use 100% cotton USA towels for removal. I do not like MFs for that use. I think they`re great for interior work and some other things...but I still like the cotton towels for paint. I have no issues with scratching or the like. I think the softer, deeper nap of a cotton towel to be a much better cushion should grit or something get between the towel and the paint.

Zaino Brothers have approved WaynesTowels.com Ultimate Plush MicroFiber Towel and dwtowels.com DF`s Concours Towels as well as wash mitts, buffing bonnets, applicators, etc as safe to use with their products.

Not to say I`m a tried and true MF zealot, but a thick MF does feel like it picks up the selant as well or more easily then any towels I have tried.

I still prefer 100% cotton for any carnauba-based product, but have converted to MF for anything more synthetic.
