I have a 2004 Accord. Inbetween the front side window and rear side window are 2 black (plastic?) pieces. I think most cars have them nowadays. What should I put on them? Can I wax them or do I have to use something like 303? On my 94` Civic I would use ArmorAll but that smeared and did not look all that great. Iused NXT on my paint, but could I use that on these plastic pieces?

I have the same thing on my Maxima. I always wax the black trim along with the rest of the car w/o any problems. I also use quick detailer (Showtime) on the trim and it has always worked out fine.

    1. AIO isn`t wax. It`s a cleaner and seems to enhance rubber trim. And it doesn`t stain.

    2. Not all waxes stain trim. That`s one of the reasons that so many of us love S100. :up

Clay certainly doesn`t. You don`t have to tape-off anything when claying. And be sure to clay your glass. It`s a big help there, as well as on your paintwork. :up

Others will have to comment on the staining properties of the other products you mention.

How about treating the trim pieces before you wax. Then the wax won`t stick. It just wipes right off. Secondarily you don`t have to be a anal about not getting the trim dressing on the paint. The wax will take that off.

From my experience, I`ve never had any trim staining problems with NXT. That`s one of the things I like a lot about NXT. And you can`t forget the nice lime smell!
