    Hey guys, new to the forum here. Looks like it could be a lot of help. Well i recently purchased an 04 sentra se-r (cloud white). I wash it regularly, and just starting to do the whole waxing thing. Anyways the other day i was washing, and normally i dont get super close to the paint and inspect it. But i did, and noticed there was...a lot! of little black/orange specs on it. I figured it was just **** from the tree so i tried going over it again and it didnt come off...

    ----->

    the only way i could remove it, was either scrubbing super hard with a towel or going at it 1 at a time with my nail.(theres about 1,000 damn specs on the car, so i gave up quick). Anyways, i was wondering if there was a certain tool/chemical , to remove these things easily? And will waxing my car help prevent this? BTW im no longer parking under trees

    ---->

    thx

    Your car needs to be clayed. That should remove most or all of the crap. After claying, use a good polish and follow up with a good wax or sealant.

    BTW, welcome to Autopia.

    Sounds like rail dust. There is no seaport in South Dakota so the vehicle was brought via rail. Paint cleaning clay should alleviate the problem.

    Congrats on the new SE-R! Be forewarned though, Nissan`s paint is very soft and easily scratches/chips. Those cars have had paint problems in the past so if you notice a lot of peeling or chipping, I would let the dealer know asap.

    BTW, if you haven`t already, check out http://www.b15sentra.net/forums

    Tons of SE-R/Spec-V info.

    slvdr04- Welcome to Autopia! That Mother`s kit is a great way to get started :xyxthumbs Between the clay and the cleaner-wax you should have your Sentra looking good in no time.
