I just buff my car using dr jone`s menzerna tutorial and didn`t have much luck After I was done I have nothing but streaks as shown in the pictures..can anyone tell me what am I doing wrong? Im using a buffer like this one: http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=46507

Im using the lake country white pad first then lake country black pad. I`m using df microfiber towel. I`m mixing a 50/50 methanol alcohol with water. Doing everything in the shade. After seeing my car with all those streaks I didn`t even bother to using my ex on the car until i can figure out what am I doing wrong. btw I also still have major swirl.

how much more buffing is needed? it seems like it take forever..already spent 3 hr buffing car alone. Also it seems like the pad or the ip isnt

    strong enought to remove scratches...

Yep! Then go get some junker hoods and practice. Technique is everything! It takes a while to learn how to buff so you don`t have to use a swirl remover. With proper technique once you finish with the last polish stage you should have no swirls and no other products with hiding qualities should be needed. Also you may want to search out a cut and buff guy that specializes in high end resto`s and learn from them. They are a wealth of knowledge.

From the second picture especially, they look like rotary holograms (very fine scratching from vigorous rotary use). FP is strong enough to remove the holograms, paired with a PC and a polishing pad.

If you put the rotary up on edge and apply too much pressure, you will be rewarded with holograms. Keep it level and use very little to no pressure on the machine.
Talk is cheap because supply exceeds demand.

how warm was it when you did this? I know you said you were in the shade, but streaking could occur if it`s super hot like it is here in the bay area. Actually today is nice, but rest of this week has been hot!
