I am trying to find the best combo for my car and truck. I use s100 and love how it goes on and comes off soo easy. I also like using eagle wipe and shine. It keeps the paint slick. I used a clay bar on my expedition the other month when I was washing it but then later on when I was using the s100 I had a lot of clouding? Some people have told me I need to use a polish or something before the s100? I have the 3 step meguairs but hate the pre cleaner and hate the polish.

Can someone recommend a good polish I can use before s100 that does not cost a arm and leg. Also why does the paint have cloudyness in it?

I am thinking about getting a PC combo package from here. I have never had a good experience with a buffer/polisher?? Thanks

I Z Paint Polish works nicely, but I would consider WG Pre Cleaner or Klasse AIO.

guys, i guess I am going to have to look up the ones you have suggested. I have teh nxt spray. I have a mothers pre cleaner that works good.

Do i need to use the clay, pre cleaner, polish, and then s100? Man thats a lot of steps.

Are there any good specials on the PC? I was reading and one model had a better counter weight than the other? Does anyone know the model number of th best.

Hey man....nice to see another v6p.net person over here. I would go ahead and get the PC. It makes polishing really easy and you get a nice even finish. VM would definitely clear up your paint, it`s my favorite final step before waxing. For more troublesome scratches a stronger polish is needed. I like to use the 1z Ultra Polish(will remove heavy scratches and swirls), or the Paint Polish(removes normal to moderate swirls and scratches.....then follow up with VM for a nice final gloss and S100 for protection.

    pmed you.

well tried but your pms are full

here is what I was going to pm you

if I get the pc 7424

what pads would you suggest to use. I know they are colored. I want to still use the s100 because its so easy to put on take off. I have mothers pre cleaner. I guess I need so type of polish to put on it after the pre cleaner. I hate the step 2 on the meguairs. The 3rd step is good. is that the same as the s100 a carnuba wax?

oops...i had no idea why i stopped getting PM`s lol.....

I suggest the lake country pads. I would get 2 yellow cutting pads and 2 white polishing pads.

I`ve never used the mothers pre cleaner before so i can`t really say much abou it. A paint "cleaner" isn`t really necessary, any polish abrasive enough to remove your swirl marks and any other blemishes is where you should start.....once you have removed your swirl marks you can use your finest least abrasive polish for a final gloss...then you can wax.

I would get einszett polish(which one you need depends on the severity of your paint defects) and vanilla moose . I know for sure that those work easy. In fact if you need microfiber towels.....you can get vanilla moose through the same guy that has the towels(e-mail Ranney at pakshak)

Check out Coastal Tools for a great combo deal on a PC. I ordered mine and had it in my hands 2 days later. GREAT customer service also.
