Is this wrong

I was wandering if my way doing this is wrong and if it hurts anything or is just wastefull of the QD and cause bonding problems,



I use this method for whatever sealent I am applying example:



Before adding additional layers after waiting for the cure time I:



Wash vehicle

dry vehilce

QD vehicle with products QD to ensure no water spots on surface.

add sealent layer.



Is the QD after drying and right before the sealent a wasted step?



Does it casue bonding issues?



Am I to anal about the maybe missed waterspot during drying and the application of the sealent and pad would remove the missed water spot just as well as the QD?

Depends on the QD, some will interfere, others won`t. FWIW, I think you could probably skip this step. Just the sealant alone can do a bit to remove *minor* waterspotting, as you suspected :xyxthumbs

I only use the QD thats formulated for that sealent. Like with UPP i use UGE, KSG Sonus Spritz

Then you shouldn`t have any problems from it.
