    I have a 2000 F-150 and I just did the Wal-Mart combo on it.

    Meguiars Car Wash

    Meguiars Clay Bar

    Meguiars Cleaner Wax

Meguiars Deep Crystal Step 2 Polish

    Meguiars NXT

I did all of this with the PC and my question is if I can apply my final coat (EX-P) with the gray pad on my PC and if so do I have to have the buffer set at a low speed to avoid heat during the application. My second question is if I am better off applying Vanilla Moose opposed to EX-P for my final coat. If anyone has answers to my questions I appreciate it.

EX-P is better applied with a foam applicator by hand. VM is really not an LSP it should have been applied instead of the Cleaner Wax and/or Polish and probably NXT. Could have saved yourself a few steps.

I love EX-P. I apply it with my DA buffer w/ a black foam pad and I run it almost at full speed. Helps get a nice even coat quick. Steve even recommended using a DA after I told him I was doing it by hand.

I give my pad a quick spray of quick detailer when I first start out. It doesn`t take too much to get a nice, thin coat on the panel. I put it just a light haze on the paint. You can tell it`s on the paint though.

I let it dry a good 40 to 60 mins before buffing the residue off. It`s easy to find other things to do on your truck during that time though. Dress all the trim/tires, clean the windows in/out, dress tires and wheel wells, wipe down the engine compartment, etc.

Im thinking about just claying it again and getting rid of everything so I can get the vanilla moose in there as well. I am not sure if I am going to put the wax cleaner on my truck. I will probably apply the EX-P with a buffer but only at 3.5 or 4. If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it.
