I just took my `04 4Runner to the body shop to fix some dents and I wanted to know how long I should wait before claying and waxing my truck due to the new paint? The guy at the shop said I didn`t have to wait, I could do it as soon as I wanted to. He used PPG paint.

    Welcome to Autopia molocono. :welcome

If the guy at the paint shop said it`s okay to do this right away, then go ahead. In discussions it seems that it probably really IS okay to do these things right away these days, but often people wait just because that is what the shop suggests.

If you are really worried you can wait a month though, which is standard a lot of times...

EDIT: Moved to Autopia University by the way...
