my wheels are clear coated polished aluminum, and unfortunately they have seen better days. they are by no means bad, but they`re not "shiny", not smooth, have some pretty hefty water spots, etc etc. what should i attack them with to really clean them up nice? since its clear, can i use the same products as the paint on the truck?

In other words, just try to treat it like your normal paint.

I use the same process on my rims as I do the car...

The only difference is that I use Brake cleaner on the back of the rims to remove salt and road grime from them, then was/wax just like the rest of the car.

Check out my gallery to see the pics of my rims after I did them.

Do not forgot to clay at least the front polished/clearcoated surfaces.
