Ok so my car was finished yesterday (1Z PP w/yellow cutting pad, VM with white polishing pad, and EX-P with a finishing pad), and I was wondering if I could apply another layer of EX-P? Will this stuff layer like Zaino or no? (I`m not looking to go apply 9 coats, just 1 )

Also, what`s a good wash shampoo to use with EX-P on the car? I have Eagle One WET now. I heard Meguiar`s gold class shampoo sheets really well, maybe I should try that to compliment EX-P`s sheeting? :nixweiss

Matt I put 3 layers of EX-P on my vehicle and didnt really notice any difference after 2 layers. I would reccomend the 2nd layer.

One thing I did notice with this is if you apply it by hand it seems to be slicker than applied with a PC.

Nice with 2nd layer hand applied over PC applied 1st layer, 24 hours apart. Fabulous stuff, really useful being able to apply in full sun (yes, we do occassionally see the sun in the UK )

I may top with natty`s (silver car) & P21S (dark blue car)

    Matt,

I agree with everything Unreal just said. I used VM + EX-P and saw no diffence after the second layer. On the third day I added #16 but again I saw no difference. I can report it looks as good as it did four weeks ago. Really like EX-P and I put it on by hand.

I wash with NXT because of our VERY hard water and I am very pleased with it. :xyxthumbs

Alright I think I`ll go for a second layer. I might just use the PC again....I hate applying by hand, it`s so hard to get thin even layers.

Second coat by hand is the recommended procedure. Sure looks nice. It seems to shed the dirt also.

Matt...How did you like the VM+EX-P combo? I like it a lot on our black Envoy.

When using the NXT wash, should you use the suggested amount or, as many do with other washes, use a little less? TIA

It`s so thick (too thick really...) that I just put a drop in. A drop of it is quite a bit. I`ve gotten a lot of washes out of my jug. A little bit is all you need.

Two coats would ensure complete coverage, then stop. EX-P seems to maintain its look for quite some time. I`ve had it on my car for 7-8 weeks now and even during the last stretch of wet weather when my car hadn`t been washed for about 3-4 weeks, it still beaded very nicely and after washing looked great!

I also believe going past two coats not going to increase shine, but will give better overall coverage even if done by pc. If you are fanatical, a coat once a month will keep the "POP", as many customers have reported to me
life is short ..do it while you can
