There seems to be what`s left of some scotch tape on my friend`s miata. I`m too scared to try anything that`s remotely aggressive, so I figure it best to ask the experts. What should I use to take off the adhesive while not harming the plastic window in any way?

I think goo gone may help. It didn`t eat harder plastics that I`ve used it on. Don`t know about soft plastics though, I`d imagine it would be fine.

WD40 also works for removing gooey stuff but it stinks, I`d rather have the citrus smell.

Either way it leaves an oily residue that you`ll need to clean with some form of window cleaner.
