I noticed that tape is used to mask off edges on cars to prevent damage from PCs or rotarys. But, once the tape is removed, how are those covered areas polished? Obviously carefully, but by hand, or by PC but at a low speed?

I usually use the PC to do the edges where I didnt get with the rotary. *I* feel as thought the PC doesnt generate enough heat to damage the edges...your technique may vary but I have not had any trouble with a PC and edges. I usually only tape off edges when I use my rotory.
